SAFEA is also the government agency responsible for work documents, both Z and R visa classifications. Through this system, the future employee and employer can submit the supporting documents electronically. The new online management service system has eliminated almost half of the previously required documents, cutting out submissions like application letters and personal resumes.

一、外国人工作许可证

It is a plastic card format document that certifies the suitability of a foreign citizen to work in the territory of the People's Republic of China. The Foreigner’s work permit is issued by a government bureau called the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs (SAFEA), in collaboration with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security.
该卡包含最基本的信息，例如员工的姓名，性别，国籍和类别，公司信息，工作职位，工作许可的签发时间和到期时间。

外国高端人才A类
Foreign high-end talents category A
外国高端人才（A类）是指符合“高精尖缺”和市场需求导向，中国经济社会发展需要的科学家、科技领军人才、国际企业家、专门特殊人才等，以及符合计点积分外国高端人才标准。外国高端人才可不受年龄和工作经历限制。

Foreign Professional Talents category B
外国专业人才（B类）是指要符合外国人来华工作指导目录和岗位需求，以及符合计点积分外国专业人才标准，应当不超过60周岁，具有学士及以上学位和2年及以上相关工作经历；确有需要的，可适当放宽年龄、学位或工作经历等限制。
Foreign professional talents (category B) shall meet the requirements of the work directory and job requirements of foreigners coming to China, and meet the standards for foreign professional talents with points and credits, shall be less than 60 years old, have a bachelor's degree or above and two years or more relevant work experience; Age, degree or work experience can be eased if necessary.
外国普通人员C类
Ordinary foreign personnel category C
外国普通人员（C类）是指满足国内劳动力市场需求，从事符合国家政策规定的临时性、季节性、非技术性或服务性工作。
Ordinary foreign personnel (category C) are those who meet the needs of the domestic Labour market and engage in temporary, seasonal, non-technical or service work in accordance with national policies.
二、工作类居留许可签证

工作类居留许可签证是赋予外国人在中华人民共和国境内居住和工作的权利。该签证是由出入境管理局或移民局签发，并附在护照上的。里面包含了外国人的姓名，护照号，出生日期，居留事由，居留有效期，签发地点等基本信息。
The working purpose residence permit gives foreigners the right to reside and work in the territory of the People's Republic of China. The work visa is issued by the Entry-Exit bureau or immigration office and it attached to the passport.
